Big Idea
Before the cross, Jesus prays. The Church is not sustained by our strength, but by the Son’s intercession, the Father’s keeping, and the Spirit’s sanctifying work through the Word.
Law: We live as if everything depends on us. We fear division, failure, and loss, and we forget who is praying for us.
Gospel: Jesus asks the Father to keep, sanctify, and unite His people. The One who dies for you also prays for you, and His prayer is not wasted.
